Skyview Los Alamos

We’re taking over a super chic, converted 50s roadside motel. With only 33 rooms in total, we’ll have complete run of the property on Friday and Saturday. Are we selling you on this yet? Get excited.

Other Options

If the Skyview isn’t for you or all the rooms get booked, not to worry! There are a number of AirBnBs in the town of Los Alamos. Additionally, the next closest town is Buellton with a few options just off the highway.

Getting Here

The Skyview Los Alamos is perched atop a hill right off the 101 Highway. Seriously, the street address is the highway. California loves its cars, so renting or otherwise procuring one for use on this trip is recommended.

Planes

If flying into LAX, Los Alamos is an approximately 140-mile drive north on the 101 (this is California, so get used to the definite article before the highway number). You’ll have options for flights and is the most economical option.

A couple regional airports can get you closer. Flying into San Luis Obispo (SBP) would make for a 45-mile drive south on the 101. Flying into Santa Barbara (SBA) would make for a 50-mile drive north. Both are lovely drives.

Trains

Here’s a novel idea — support your national passenger train carrier and take the Pacific Surfliner from Los Angeles’ Union Station up the coast to Goleta, then pick up a rental a car to complete your trip to Los Alamos.

Sit on the left side of the train to take in the coastal views and enjoy an Arrogant Bastard Ale (served onboard as of Kellen’s most recent trip, may need to verify).

Automobiles

If you are among the guests who reside in California, pack up that jalopy and get up (or down) here! The address is 9150 U.S. 101, Los Alamos, CA 93440.

If you’re considering a cross-country roadtrip, godspeed to you.
